Current connector types include:

30-Pin eDP - the most commonly used connector, can support resolutions up to 1080p at 120Hz refresh rate.

40-pin eDP QHD - High resolution connector above 1080p and up to 4k.

40-pin eDP + Touch - 30 pins video + 10 pins touch. Used on touch-screen laptops with on-cell (built-in) touch digitizer.

40-pin eDP + Touch Narrow - a newer type of connector that uses 0.4mm pin distancing (typical distancing is 0.5mm)

Connector type must be matched with your original, otherwise the replacement LCD is not going to be compatible.
